Reporting to the CEO: This position exists within the CHIETA to assist and support the CEO’s Office
with administration. Candidates who possess the relevant, functional competencies are invited to

Requirements: National Diploma: General Administration/ BA Degree/ Administration Qualification at
NQF Level 4 achieved through a learnership.
Experience: Preferably graduates with no work experience and in need of in-service training to
qualify.
Knowledge: Computer literacy skills (MS Office) are essential.
Stipend: R7, 000.00 (Seven Thousand Rands) on the 15th
day of every month, less any income
tax that the Employer is required to deduct in terms of the relevant tax laws

Vacancy - ICT Manager - Closing Date: 27 January 2021
The CHIETA intends to appoint an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager on a fixed term contract from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2030 in accordance with the SETA re-licencing period approved by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology. The position is to be located at the CHIETA Head Office in Midrand, Gauteng.
Key job purpose
Reporting to the Executive Manager: Corporate Services the ICT Manager will be accountable for all aspects of CHIETA’s ICT management, ICT business performance /delivery (inclusive of programming and development work), and ICT reporting. The ICT Manager must be able to manage all ICT requirements for the SETA.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a National Diploma in ICT OR a related degree. A post graduate qualification in ICT is advantageous.
- Project Management Qualification/Management or Leadership Qualification
- At least 7 years’ experience working on a variety of software development/ programming projects, having experience of development/managing of SETA Management Information Systems (MIS) would be advantageous.
- Applying understanding of ICT enterprise infrastructure processes.
- Project Management skills and/or ICT Management experience with extensive skills in system development and business analysis.
- Understanding of the South African Skills Development Landscape
- Understanding of Enterprise Wide Risk Management and implications for the ICT Department
- Excellent communication skills

The CHIETA intends to appoint a Management Information Systems (MIS) Specialist /Junior Developer in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Department on a fixed term contract from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2030 in accordance with the SETA re-licencing period approved by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology. The position is to be located at the CHIETA Head Office in Midrand, Gauteng.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least a National Diploma in Information Technology. BSc, BIT or other relevant qualifications preferred.
- A Project Management Qualification would be advantageous,
- Proven track record with minimum 4 years of experience
- Certification in the development technologies will advantageous
- Experience in SETA System will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of and experience with the following:

- ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and Core
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript
