REOPENING OF THE CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO SERVE ON THE ACCOUNTING AUTHORITY (GOVERNING BOARD) OF THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES EDUCATION & TRAINING AUTHORITY (CHIETA)

In accordance with Section11(5) the Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998) as amended and the CHIETA Constitution, the Minister of Higher Education and Training requests nominations from recognised CHIETA stakeholders for consideration and approval to serve on the CHIETA Accounting Authority (Governing Board) for the period up and until 31 March 2030.

Nominations are invited from stakeholders in the relevant sector and CHIETA constituencies to nominate suitably qualified candidates including youth, preferably in possession of a NQF level 7 with expertise and experience in skills development and/or community development and governance for consideration and appointment as a member of the CHIETA Accounting Authority up and until 30 March 2030.

 Note further that those who were already nominated during the previous advertisement and communication process are not required to be renominated, since their previous nomination will be considered by the Minister of Higher Education and Training

 Detailed information on the relevant and recognised stakeholder constituencies in the CHIETA Constitution, the nomination documentation required, and the eligibility criteria is available on the CHIETA website at www.chieta.org.za.

 No individual or personal nominations should be submitted to CHIETA.  All nominations must be submitted through the respective and recognised stakeholder constituencies stated on the CHIETA website by no later than Friday, 15 August 2025 at 16h00.
