The CHIETA Discretionary Grant is available for employers/enterprises within the chemical sector
and is aimed at addressing sector needs as identified in the CHIETA Sector Skills Plan, supports
DHET Strategic Plan, ERRP and the priorities set out in the National Skills Development Plan 2030.
The CHIETA hereby invites application from chemical sector employers and enterprises to apply
for the 2023/24 Cycle 1 Discretionary grant funding windows to support its Annual Performance
Plan.
The application window will only be open for a duration of one month. As per the CHIETA Funding
Policy, all grant applications must be for training that is being implemented within the 2023/24
financial year.
WHO CAN APPLY?
• Chemical sector companies who are eligible and have submitted the ATR-WSP to the CHIETA
• Non-levy paying companies, CHIETA accredited training providers, SMME’s, CBO’s CBC’s,
NPO’s, NGO’s and Co-Ops that are within the chemical sector can apply.
• Government institutions are eligible to apply.
