CHIETA supports South Africa at World Skills Competition

South Africa is ready to take on the world at this year’s World Skills International Competition in Abu Dhabi after the team to represent the country at the prestigious national event was finalised.   Mr MthokozisiSanga from Shukela Training Centre in Durban, who was a national gold winner, came tops at the World Skills South Africa (WSSA) Electrical Installation preparation demonstration held at P&T Technical College, Germiston on June 1.This event completed the selection process.   Sanga joined Mr Phillippus Terblanche, who will represent the welding trade as a member of Team South Africa, that will pit its skills against the world’s best in October 2017.Both the welding and the electrical trades are supported in the competition by CHIETA (the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority).   Download the full article here! ......

Chinese Scholarships for SA Students!

An agreement has been signed between the government of South African and the Chinese Government to offer fully funded scholarships to South African students to study at selected Chinese institutions.The scholarships may be awarded for postgraduate (Masters, PhD or Post doctorate) or non-degree Chinese language studies. Bachelor’s degree scholarships are taught in Chinese and will only be awarded to applicants who already have the required level of Chinese proficiency (HSK 4 or above).For more in......
